After three years as a claim representative with a major liability insurance carrier and ten years in private practice with a prominent insurance defense firm, George S. Petkoff established our firm in 1976 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Memphis sits on the banks of the Mississippi River, borders Mississippi, Arkansas, and Kentucky, and is a major hub for international transportation. The state lines of Alabama, Missouri, and Kentucky are less than 125 miles away. Our firm regularly defends insurers, insureds, self-insureds, governmental entities, and businesses in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas, and Kentucky.

Our attorneys also appear in jurisdictions throughout the United States.

We acknowledge our clients’ concerns for litigation costs, timely communication, reliable status reports, budgets, guidelines, and litigation management plans as we strategically and zealously advocate on their behalf.

Our attorneys are well versed in interpreting insurance policies and rendering carefully analyzed and comprehensive coverage opinions.

The matters we regularly defend in state and federal courts include aviation-related losses, general casualty, insurance coverage, products liability, premises liability, complex litigation involving multiple parties and multiple issues, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death.

Our aviation clients include aircraft and product manufacturers, aircraft owners, aerial applicators, airlines, airports, consultants, fixed base operators, insurers, pilots, and repair stations.

In addition to years of extensive trial practice, we represent clients in alternative dispute resolution and regulatory proceedings.
